Keep in mind that as I am writing this article the website you are currently looking at is brand spanking new and is not ranking ANYWHERE in Google. That is until i wrote this and did the the exact same things I am telling you about to improve my website ranking on the Google Search Result Pages. This site is not even indexed, and I am not even going to index or submit it to Google. I am only going to do what I tell you I'm going to do and I am going to tell you what I am doing "AS" I am doing it (did you get that?), so you can SEE FOR YOURSELF that the 3 simple & easy steps I am going to share, really do work.

Now let me explain a little bit more on how you do each of these.
On-site Optimization
Your on-site optimization is hands down one of the most important things you can do to help your site.
Before you can start the "4 Basic Musts" of On-site Optimization you need to have identified your 1st, 2nd and 3rd main key terms. First, I'd like to rank for "improve my website ranking", second I would like to rank for "improve website rankng" and then eventually show up one page #1 in Google for "increase website traffic" I'd like to point out that the more key terms I have chosen have 3-4 words in their description, this is called a niche term (i'll write a post about "niche markets" later).
Ok... here are the "4 Basic Musts" of On-site Optimization
The title of my site is "improve my website ranking - Increase My Web Site Traffic". Simple, easy and to the point using all my key terms. I actually split the 2nd "Web Site" word into two to open my self up to a smaller little market of people.
My description, like my title, is short and sweet too. "3 simple & easy things I did to improve my website ranking. I wanted to increase website traffic and I did. See... you are HERE."
When doing these first 2 steps you are giving Google the old "one, two" punch. Your title tells Google what your site is all about, using your main key terms to do it, and in the description your following it up with a quick "jab" by using those same key terms.
Next were going to offer Google a powerful uppercut then a final blow for the K.O.
As you can see, my home page has 2 basic articles. To effectively do this we are going to need to get into the mind of a Google spider and see what these articles need to look like.
I couldn’t have made it to the top of the search engines without Linkvana
